Arsenal is in talks to sign Belgian international Yannick Carrasco as an alternative to Ivan Perisic of Inter Milan.
A loan agreement – with an option to buy – is being discussed for the 25-year-old winger who desperately wants to leave the Chinese club, Dalian Yifang.
Carrasco spent the last year in China and is looking to return to Europe in the last two months, after failing in its deal. Carrasco was also considered substitute for Perisic at Inter if his stint at Arsenal was held.
However, it seems that the Italians do not want Perisic, who submitted a transfer request, to be loaned on the outset, prefer to accept a permanent move for the Croatian international.
Arsenal is only looking for loans and Carrasco's signature – for the moment – seems to be a simpler deal to finalize, Dalian wishing to let him go and willing to sanction him as a loan matched with an option.
