Verizon Pauses Deployment of 5G Home Until 5G Hardware Is Ready

Verizon was very proud to be the first to deploy 5G home broadband, but the company announced that its 5G Home network will not be extended to other cities beyond the initial four launch markets before the end. of the year. Specifically, it will take until the second half of 2019.

Regarding the 5G mobile, Mr. Vestberg would not give an overview of Verizon's coverage map this year, claiming that the company had "nothing to disclose for competitive reasons". He simply promised "a lot of 5G mobile and 5G home" and said the carrier will launch 5G compatible devices "as soon as they are ready."
