According to a report in Germany, Mesut Ozil refused a sensational loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The German midfielder has been announced about a temporary move to Ligue 1 to replace Neymar, injured.

The Brazilian mercurial has a foot problem that will keep him away for 10 weeks and pushed PSG to act for Ozil.

Suddeutsche Zeitung reports that the Ligue 1 champions have tried to get Ozil on loan, but that the 30-year-old has turned down the opportunity.

PSG was willing to pay all of Ozil's £ 350,000 weekly salary, but the latter did not want a short-term move and would stay at The Emirates.

Ozil, who signed a new contract 12 months ago, has not had the easy task under the boss of Unai Emery.

Ozil made his league debut last December in the 2-1 win over Cardiff, but has only started 13 Premier League games this season with back and knee injuries.

This has led to suggestions that Emery wants to unload Ozil, which he has denied so far, but recent roles on the bench against Chelsea and Man Utd have spurred a surge in speculation.

When asked why he had not started Ozil against United, Emery replied, "He played."

When asked why he did not start the offensive midfielder, he added, "Because I also think I can play against other players."

Ozil's lack of playing time gave rise to rumors linking him to a January decision, but he was asked if the former German international had a future at Arsenal before Christmas. Emery replied, "Yes, why not?"

"I do not think about this situation," he said to the question of whether Ozil could leave.

At the same time, the German report also claims that James Rodriguez is another striker likely to interest PSG, but his loan status at Bayern Munich with Real Madrid could make any transaction complicated.
