Captain America finds himself locked up for a crime that he has not committed, but fortunately Sharon Carter calls for reinforcements, including some beloved robot wall that bears the name of Spider-Woman.
Spoilers entering for Captain America # 7, so if you have not read the problem yet, you have been warned.
Captain America is currently suspected of killing General Ross. While this is not true, the evidence is piling up and, despite all the hard work of Winter Soldier and Sharon Carters, they find no way to refute the charges. Even the trademark shield of Steve Rogers is involved, suspected to be the murder weapon.
This makes Rogers turn into authorities. While he voluntarily surrenders, he does not let the authorities have everything and gives his iconic shield to Sharon. The agents ask him where is the shield, but he says that he has just "lost" it.
We know this is not the case after we saw Carter enter a hidden facility at the bottom of the subway platform. She reveals that she has the shield in her bag and enters a room with a large blower platform and several computers. She says, "Aeternum Filias, sisters, again the Dryad is calling us, and again the serpent is rising."
The portal begins to ignite and then calls several heroes. This group includes Valkyrie, Mockingbird, Invisible Woman, Echo, Misty Knight, White Tiger, Shuri and Spider-Woman, who leads the team. Spider-Woman responds to Carter's call by saying "and that the Daughters of Liberty stand up to meet him."
You can view the spoiler image above.
It makes sense for Jessica Drew to be the leader of the team, as she has dealt with both Captain America (as part of the Avengers) and Sharon Carter on her course S.H.I.E.L.D. days. The group is ready to continue the fight for freedom while Captain America is out of action, but we are sure he will find a way to find the real killer and get him out of jail.
