Marouane Fellaini stationed at the airport before the January transfer to Shandong Luneng

Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini has joined Brussels airport in anticipation of his transfer to Shandong Luneng of the Chinese Super League.

The Red Devils midfielder has been seen offering a lucrative £ 200,000 weekly contract to practice in the Far East, and posted the message: "Let's go" to his story on Instagram.

An agreement in principle has been reached between Manchester United and Shandong Luneng. Only documents and final terms must be defined before the deadline.

Fellaini will end his five-and-a-half-year stay at Old Trafford if he completes the move as planned, as he has suggested.

The Belgian was a big part of Jose Mourinho's Manchester United team, but he's been ostracized since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the reins.

He is also injured for the moment, but has been constantly neglected by the favorite trio of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Ander Herrera.

A delegation from Shandong Luneng went to Manchester to finalize an agreement with the Red Devils, Fellaini's fees rising to around 7 million pounds sterling.

United wanted to get more than 10 million pounds for the 31-year-old, but wants the midfielder to benefit from a pay cut.

There are only 18 months left in Fellaini for his current contract at Old Trafford.
