Former President John Dramani Mahama badured that National Democratic Congress (NDC) activists would not be lost when they were working hard to bring the party back to power.
Speaking to the delegates and supporters of the Ho West constituency as part of his campaign tour in the Volta region heading for the party's next flag-carrying primary, the former president said the party had learned the lesson of not rewarding hard-working members who are sacrificing themselves to win power for the party.
"Sometimes we have a problem. People work hard and when the party comes to power and it's time to reward hard-working people, we will then bring other people, "he said, baduring that this time Here, the party would note the roles that people played to help the party so that they would be rewarded accordingly.

He instructed party leaders in constituencies to take note of these engaged members so that they present them to fill positions and not those who are not.
According to Mahama, the NDC enjoyed a good reputation in the government, particularly in the areas of health, roads, water, education, and infrastructure. allowed the party to beat its opponents in the 2020 election and advocate for unity.
He insisted that he was not against the current high school government's free policy and had never said that he would abolish it when he won the power.
According to him, the free SHS run by the current government under the presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was facing many challenges, as the government had not pursued the construction of the high school blocks that his government had created. .
"We now have an educational system of traffic lights, where the red will go and the green will come".
If the NDC were to gain power, he said, the party would continue its infrastructure projects and abolish the dual-track system.
The most feared aspirant
Soliciting for his support of the party leadership, Mahama said he was the only candidate among the candidates the NPP feared and for which the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was making rumors about his return.
The Volta party regional president, John Kwadwo Gyapong, called on the delegates to provide considerable support to the former president as he was the only candidate to win the party's victory.
