Since then, the NDC has officially withdrawn from elections by claiming that it would not shed the blood of any of its members at a by – election.
Nurideen Iddrisu agrees with the decision made by the party. In a statement issued shortly after visiting the wounded, the aspiring flag-bearer said he was surprised at the police's failure.
He said that the future of our election would be questioned if hooded policemen would be deployed to provide security during the elections.
"How can we be safe and vote in peaceful elections while hooded security guards search the polling stations armed with sophisticated weapons?" He asked.
He added that the president urgently condemned the action of national security and open an investigation into the attack.
"We must see the action of the president. If not, it will be fair to badume that he was complicit in this heinous crime that will not bode well for our elections in the future. "
He wished the victims a speedy recovery and provided them with financial support.
