Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was photographed for lunch with former Manchester United general manager David Gill.
Gill worked at Old Trafford during the Norwegian playing career and the couple ate together at Cibo Restaurant in Hale Village on Thursday afternoon.
Both men were part of United's old old guard, under the leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson, and Solskjaer was perhaps biting the brains of the highly respected football executive.

On a chilly afternoon in Cheshire, they shook hands in front of the restaurant and seemed to spot the hidden camera.
United looks more like Gill and Ferguson's team of former managers in recent weeks.
Since Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho, the club remains undefeated.

A 2-2 draw at home against Burnley on Tuesday night was the first time the Solskja team had not won under his interim boss.
The 45-year-old is increasingly being asked to take on this role on a permanent basis, although Ed Woodward may still be trying to entice Mauricio Pochettino to the Tottenham club this summer.
Gill was General Manager at United between 2003 and 2013, duplicating Solskjaer for four years.
He was vice-president of the FA between 2012 and 17 and has been vice-president of FIFA for four years.
