Celtic has announced the signing of a loan agreement with half-back Jeremy Toljan, aged 24, under a loan agreement until the end of the season.

The Scottish champions had intense negotiations throughout the day with Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc, who had earlier confirmed that discussions were underway on the future of the 24-year-old.

The right-back had lost the order of freelancing at the Westfalenstadion, making only 23 appearances since signing with the German team in August 2017.

Zorc had teased a possible limit day move, before Sky Sports Germany broke the news that Celtic were the interested party.

Speaking to Celtic site, Toljan "It's an exciting move for me and I'm excited to join a club like Celtic, which has an excellent reputation across Europe.

"I can not wait to meet my new teammates and work with the manager. I will do everything in my power to help the team succeed in the rest of the season.

"I can not wait to start and give it all for this big, iconic club."
