The Bureau for Combating Organized and Economic Crime (EOCO) arrested two people for alleging the removal of ten air conditioners at Zylofon Media's East Legon office.

The arrests follow a recent court order confirming the freezing and preservation of the properties of MenzGold Ghana Ltd and other badociated companies.

Jacqueline Avotri, head of public affairs at EOCO, told reporters Thursday that the two people had been detained at the East Legon Police Station.

According to EOCO, the move was aimed at ensuring compliance with the court's decision blocking MenzGold's properties.

Nana Antwi, head of EOCO's operations, said that some frozen property, until then suspected to belong to MenzGold Ghana Ltd, was handed over to their rightful owners after investigation and court authorization.

The listed properties of MenzGold include land properties and vehicles of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Menzgold Office complex, Zylofon Art Complex, Brew Marketing Consult, Star Madrid Football Club, Zylofon Limited Music & Media Company, Brew Energy Company Limited and G-Tech Automotive Service.

The remainder consists of two properties located in the Trbadaco Valley (Parcel # 315 and # 337), a lot (# 54) located near Oak Street – Trbadaco Valley, an unfinished residence and one hectare of land.

Nana Appiah Mensah (NAM 1), CEO of Menzgold, arrested in the UAE in December 2018 for defrauding a business partner, was declared a wanted man by a circuit court in Accra.

The result is similar accusations by some 60,000 people who have invested in his Menzgold company, which has been described as experts like a Ponzi scheme.
