In a statement released Thursday, Barca said theost of the transfer will be 12 million euros and that Emerson accepted a contract at Camp Nou until the end of the season 2023-24. Emerson had only spent a year with the Atletico Mineiro and is currently in Chile, playing for Brazil in the South American Under-20 Championship. Barcelona said that the right back had been "compared in Brazil to the former Barca player Dani Alves".
