PEORIA, Ill. (WEEK) – After two days of suspension due to freezing cold, the US Postal Service resumes normal service.
Mail delivery will resume for postal codes 601, 603-605, 609 and 613-617. All post offices will be open and offer their usual complete retail services.
"As we resume delivery, we are asking our customers to continue cleaning sidewalks, pathways and mailbox approaches for the safety of our letter carriers," said Tangela Bush, Central Illinois District Director. . "We sincerely thank and appreciate the badistance, cooperation and concern of customers for our employees in this unprecedented time."
