Barcelona unveils French prodigy Jean-Clair Todibo

Barcelona unveiled French teenager Jean-Clair Todibo after announcing his transfer from Toulouse to five months.

The 19-year-old defender, who is expected to become the "next Raphael Varane", was paraded in front of cameras and supporters in Nou camp on Friday afternoon.

He signed a four-and-a-half year contract with the leaders of La Liga.

The Spanish giants beat Manchester City to allow the French star, born in Guyana, to benefit from a free transfer, but revealed the deadline that they had reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 club for to make things progress.

The center back had started 10 games this season for Toulouse, but is no longer part of the first team since early November.

The French side stopped playing after the talks failed for the player to sign professional terms.

Todibo kissed the badge and greeted the fans, while joining some of the youngest members of the club's academy in a "Rondo" on the ground of Nou Camp.

He is free to make his debut as soon as possible in Barcelona and could be in the team to face Valencia on Saturday night.

He took the No. 6 shirt, which was released by Denis Suarez following his move to Arsenal.
