The service areas included most of the state and the entire viewing area of ABC 12.
The US Postal Service said that customers could do something to make the work of the mailmen easier.
He asked customers to continue clearing sidewalks, paths and mailboxes.
The request was to ensure that the carriers had a clear path to deliver the mail.
