Google closes a free interface for weather applications

The search engine will no longer give application creators free access to weather information. Why exactly, is currently not clear.

Google does not seem to offer developers free access to weather data. This tweeted the developers dives. It is unclear exactly what the search engine operator is targeting because the company has not yet pronounced on the decision.

It may be that the company wants to prevent costly access to the Google Awareness API, which causes suspicious developers to disguise their apps as weather apps, such as stealing user data. Because if cyber criminals have to pay for reliable weather data so that their apps do not fly in place, the business will probably be unattractive to some.

Some industry observers will also have to think about Google Maps. Once upon a time, for example, the free integration of the card service on your own website. This is only possible for years if some call numbers are not exceeded.
