Chelsea's numbers for the remainder of the season have been confirmed.
And a lot of things have changed since the summer.
The Blues were active in the January transfer window by bringing Gonzalo Higuain on loan from Juventus – via AC Milan – and giving him the number nine jersey that had been worn by Alvaro Morata.
Speaking of the Spanish striker, he was allowed to leave Stamford Bridge after failing to really settle into English football and made his way home to join Atletico Madrid.
Morata was one of many players to be sold or loaned last month while head coach Maurizio Sarri chose to reduce his squad.
The transfer of 57 million pounds of Borussia Dortmund by Christian Pulisic was officially announced four weeks ago, but it will not be available in the second half of the season after being loaned to the leaders of the Bundesliga.
Cesc Fabregas bid farewell to the Premier League once and for all after making a transfer to AS Monaco, where he was briefly reunited with his former Arsenal teammate, Thierry Henry.
Victor Moses left to join Fenerbahce on loan after finding few first-team opportunities under Sarri and dropped the No. 15 jersey in the process, though he could recover it when he came back. .
Then, on the day of the deadline, Michy Batshuayi's credit to Valencia was canceled and he returned to London to sign for the Crystal Palace until the summer.
All this means that some new numbers are available for newcomers once the summer 2019 transfer window is open.
