The new cryptocurrency trading application of Germany's second largest stock exchange, Boerse Stuttgart, has been officially launched.
The free application, called BISON, offers users the opportunity to exchange bitcoins (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and XRP.
BISON is available on iOS and Android devices.
The developer of BISON is Sowa Labs GmbH, a subsidiary of Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures. The development of the specially designed application took almost a year.

Break down barriers at the entrance
According to Boerse Stuttgart, BISON is the first German crypto-currency trading application fully secured by a traditional stock exchange – namely Börse Stuttgart – which allows easy and user-friendly entry into the emerging market.
Dr. Ulli Spankowski, CEO of Sowa Labs GmbH, said:
With BISON, we simplify cryptocurrency transactions as much as possible and remove barriers to entry. BISON is the first cryptocurrency trading application from a provider in Germany. It allows the free trade of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple (XRP).
Know your limits
Unsurprisingly, BISON users must verify their identity. This KYC verification takes place via a "video identification".
The cryptocurrency market is trading 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but trading on BISON is only available between 6 am and 12 pm Central European Time, seven days a week. 24 hours a day will be added to the application at a later date, according to Spankowski.
Users who want to transfer their coins to an external wallet may, according to TheNews.asia, "ask to transfer them to their own wallet". Otherwise, BISON retains custody of users' crypto-currencies.
Follow-up "Crypto Twitter"
It is interesting to note that BISON offers a feature based on artificial intelligence called "Cryptoradar". This feature badyzes "Crypto Twitter" with 250,000 tweets per day and presents what it considers to be the best of the best for users.
BISON developers plan to enable additional trading features and add support for more crypto-currencies – depending on customer interest.
