The director of Inter Milan, Luciano Spalletti, is not very satisfied with Arsenal.

All of this relates to the Gunners' loan attempts to sign a loan to Ivan Perisic during the transfer in January, when head coach Unai Emery was desperate to add a winger to his team.

Several names were linked to a move to the Emirates Stadium last month, but the day of the deadline, it seemed that both options were either Perisic or the former star of the company. Atletico Madrid, Yannick Carrasco.

Despite the loan attempt of at least one loan, the North London team finally found itself with Denis Suarez – who sealed his transfer to North London for the remainder of the season the day of the expiry.

As far as Perisic is concerned, this agreement would always be difficult to overcome given their financial situation.

Discussions on the Arsenal side were still centered around a loan agreement with a summer purchase option – but Inter Milan had no interest in such a contract .

The 29-year-old was keen to make a move and even submitted a transfer request to try to force the deal, but an agreement could not be found between the two clubs and the Croatian international will remain in San Siro for now.

Now that the dust has settled on the January transfer window, Spalletti discusses how the events unfolded.

The Italian struck at Arsenal for "driving" Perisic and revealed that the winger would be allowed to replay once his mind would have completely returned to the Serie A team.

Ivan Perisic of Inter Milan has been linked to Arsenal.

"There was this story on the market, but he's a professional, understands his role and yesterday it was already a very different mood," Spalletti told RAI Sport, according to the Daily Mirror.

"These things happen in the transfer window, the player received an impressive offer and was tempted, but then he realized that it was not a real offer, that he would have been deceived and that he had stepped back.

"Now he will resume training and as soon as his mind returns to Inter, we will let him play."
