Truck and SUV sales have been steadily increasing since the end of the Great Recession, while pbadenger car sales have declined since 2014, according to data from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis. In fact, in 2018, truck sales in the United States were the highest since 2005. This sharp rise in sales is forcing automakers to make big changes.
