Delaware health officials have announced three recent flu-related deaths, bringing the total number of people killed by the flu to eight this season.
Delaware State News reports that the most recent victim is an 83-year-old man from New Castle County, whose health conditions are underlying, according to the state's Public Health Division.
In addition, a 41-year-old woman from New Castle County with alleged underlying health complications and a 74-year-old woman from Susbad County with multiple underlying health conditions have died of influenza.
The eight people who have up to now this influenza season are between 41 and 83 years old.

Public health officials said it was not too late to get the flu shot and encouraged people to do it.
