Harry Kane congratulated Tottenham on his victory over Newcastle as Mauricio Pochettino's men finished second in the Premier League.
Spurs seemed ready to spend a frustrating afternoon at Wembley before Son Heung-min scored a late winner.
This victory allowed the Spurs to overtake Manchester City in second place and reduce the gap to just four points of the Liverpool leaders.
Kane remains marginalized because of an ankle problem, although he has hinted that he may soon be back by posting a video of his re-education this week.
Shortly after joining Wembley, Kane turned to social media to congratulate his teammates on their last win.
"A good win for the well-played guys," wrote the Spurs talisman.
Unsurprisingly, Spurs fans quickly understood the message and begged Kane to return to the game, despite their victory.
Pochettino's men have won all three Premier League matches without Kane. The other two victories against Watford and Fulham were also won by the winners.
Tottenham will resume the fight at Wembley next weekend when he will face Leicester.
Kane was tipped to make his comeback in March and could be ready for the North London derby and the Champions League return match with Borussia Dortmund.
