Unai Emery and his team at Arsenal were optimistic as they were training before their meeting with Manchester City this weekend.
The Gunners are currently fifth in the Premier League, but can tie points with Chelsea if they beat Pep Guardiola's team at Etihad.
Denis Suarez signed with his new Arsenal teammate at London Colney today, having enjoyed his first full workout with the team on Friday.
Suarez seems to have already formed a friendship with Lucas Torreira and was seen chatting with Emery alongside his fellow midfielder.
Barcelona's ace was transferred to the Emirates until the end of the season, having also agreed to an extension of his current contract at Camp Nou until 2021.
After sealing his temporary change, Suarez was put to the test by the Gunners' fitness coach, Julen Masach, at a private session on the closing day.
However, it was Masach 's turn to do most of the work and revive the annoyances of today, much to the delight of Nacho Monreal, Pierre – Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Aubameyang and Lacazette were particularly cheerful in training, with the pair having scored 24 goals in the league so far this season.
Mesut Ozil looked slightly less cheerful, as the German's place in the camp was even more threatened by the arrival of Suarez.
Aaron Ramsey is the favorite to start in the No. 10 role against City, while Emery could roll out Torreira, Granite Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi in a midfield three.
In the back, Arsenal is still plagued by injury problems. Rob Holding, Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Hector Bellerin were all dismissed.
However, Laurent Koscielny is back in training and able to face the defending champions after a jaw injury.
