Mrs Catherine Abelema Afeku
The Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Abelema Afeku, has been appointed Chair of the United Nations World Tourism Organization's (UNWTO) Leadership Working Group.
The appointment was announced at the first meeting of the Leadership Working Group held on January 25, 2018 at the headquarters of the global body in Madrid, Spain.

In a follow-up letter officially informing Ms Afeku of her position, UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili described it as "valuable input and leadership" at the meeting. of the organization and congratulated her on her "unanimous appointment".
