The helicopter fell ashore en route to a political campaign when Mr. Osinbajo cheated on death. Mr. Osinbajo escaped unscathed as the country prepared to go to the polls on February 16th. A video on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo's Twitter account showed him cheering on his followers after the incident.
He posted: "We are safe and sound!"
The cause of the accident is not yet known.
Spokesman for Vice President Laolu Akande said he was pursuing his commitments in the state of Kogi.
"The accident of Vice President Osinbajo's helicopter landed in Kabba, but he and the entire crew are safe," the spokesman said on Twitter.
Later, he added that the Vice President had told the crowd, "We are extremely grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives."
Mr. Akande did not give more details about the crash but he thanked God and the flight crew.
Rival presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar told Osinbajo that he was "happy to see" that everyone was safe.
This is the second time that Mr. Osinbajo's helicopter has landed.
In June 2017, he survived a similar accident when the helicopter in which he was traveling crashed shortly after taking off from Gwagawalada, Abuja.
Nigerian airlines are struggling, with delays, cancellations and fuel shortages almost expected of domestic pbadengers.
But security records have improved in recent years.
Candidates from political parties campaigned in Nigeria.

Buhari hopes that his anti-corruption program will enable him to win a second term.
But the opposition candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has promised to consider an amnesty for the bribery suspects and privatize the state-owned oil company NNPC.
