Parents of abducted girls asked for advice
A team of clinical psychologists from the police hospital led by the division commander of Takoradi and his men visited the parents of the three victims kidnapped in their various homes to advise them, MyNewsGh.com has learned.
The visiting team was made up of Takoradi Division ACP Commander, Mr. Duuti Tuaruka, ASP Clinical Psychologist. Mr. Foster Naneworto, Inspector Charles Austin Adjei, Sargent Sarfo Asiedu, Sargent Isaac Dankwa and Sargent William Ofosuhene.
The team first visited the parents of the first victim, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, then met the victim's parents, Ruth Love Quayson, and ended at Priscilla Mantabea Kuranchie's home.
MyNewsGh.com has been informed that the clinical psychologist has guided them through problems that they can use to heal themselves in this difficult time. He again encouraged and rebadured them that they would get their children back.
The visit follows a request from parents of the three girls kidnapped in Takoradi, Western Region, to be counseled. They used Ghanaian police to help them with psychological counseling to overcome the trauma.
The parents appealed when a delegation of the police administration, on the order of the Inspector General of Police David Asante Appeatu, headed by the Director General of Investigations Department criminals (CID) DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, visited them.
The parents during the visit to which MyNewsGh.com went, were very grateful to the police for the work they have done so far and urged them to do more to bring back their children, but appealed to the services of a clinical psychologist to help the victim's parents to overcome the trauma that they are going through.
