Marvel Unveils Avengers FCBD Number 1 for Free Cartoon Day

The Avengers invade the comic book stores for Free Cartoon Day.

Marvel Comics has announced FCBD Avengers # 1, featuring several stories featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

The main story comes from Avengers the writer of the current Jason Aaron series and the artist Stefano Caselli. The second story comes from Gerry Duggan and Mike Deodato and should lead to the creation of one of the "most dynamic and deadliest versions of the Avengers".

Marvel also offers free promotional buttons to Avengers FCBD Avengers # 1 Ed McGuinness art cover, until stocks run out. Look at the cover below.

The cover features Blade, the new Avengers rookie. He joins the team just in time for the start of the Civil War vampires.

The Avengers will soon find themselves trapped too. Kingdoms War, the event that tells the story that was built in the series of Thor to a head.

"The story really begins when the war that's been preparing for years in Thor's pages explodes here in Midgard," teased Aaron in a trailer of the event. "And at this point, it's bigger than a battle of Thor – everyone is participating in the battle."

"Even though this story involves a lot of moving parts and elements of the Thor BD and the Avengers Comics is something everyone can dive into, "said editor Will Moss. "The war of the kingdoms is literally the war of everything. All players in the Marvel universe must therefore participate. You can not see all of our characters congregating anywhere but great cool stories like this one. "

"The incident that occurs takes place when one day in Times Square, a spectator looks out the window and that a portal opens, where Frost Giants, Black Elves and Demons of fire spill out, "says Aaron. "This war has finally arrived here in New York and suddenly it's no longer a Thor story, it's a story of Avengers, it's a story of everyone."

The Civil War of vampires begins this month in the pages of Avengers. Kingdoms War begins in April.
