Nigeria's vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, escaped unscathed after the crash of his helicopter on Saturday, his spokesman said.

Images from the scene showed the helicopter on its side after the incident of Kabba, a city in Kogi State in central Nigeria.
Osinbajo was campaigning for his All Progressive Congress (APC) party before this month's general election and delivered a speech as planned shortly after the crash.
"We are extremely grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives from the incident that has just happened, each one of us is safe and no one is maimed," said Osinbajo in his speech, according to the spokesman. say Laolu Akande.
"God has kept us alive and safe, delivered us from death so we can do more for our people and our country," he said.
Osinbajo too tweeted a video of his campaign, thanking the crew and its benefactors.
"We are safe and sound, thanks to all those who expressed their concern and to the team that handled the situation well," he wrote on Twitter.
General elections in Nigeria are scheduled for 16 February.
