Russian hip-hop artist Detsl died at the age of 35.
The rapper, whose real name is Kirill Aleksandrovich Tolmatsky, has reportedly succumbed to a heart attack.
According to the Russian news agency Tbad, an investigation has already been opened into the cause of his death.
A spokesman told the agency: "Investigators are examining the scene of the incident, forensic tests will be performed."
The rapper born in Moscow died a few minutes after the end of his concert in the Russian city of Izhevsk.
Detsl is considered the first Russian-language hip-hop record and has won numerous awards, including the MTV International Viewer's Choice Award in 2000
His debut album, Who Are You ?, remains one of the best-selling albums in Russia. His stage name is a twisted recognition of his small size – detsl is a Russian slang term that means "small". He also worked under the names of Le Truk and Giuseppe Zhyostko.
The premature death of Detsl was reported for the first time by its fan club via the Russian social media network VKontakte. Before the official confirmation of his father, music producer Aleksandr Tolmatsky, in a Facebook post earlier in the day.
