RABAT, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) – The H1N1 flu has killed 11 people in Morocco, Health Ministry said Sunday.
The deaths were recorded in six cities, including four in Casablanca, three in Tangier and the others in Fez, Rabat, Azilal and Tan-Tan, said the ministry in a statement.
In addition to these deaths, some 32 people are receiving care in hospitals because of influenza, while another 15 have recovered after contracting the virus.
The declaration stresses that the number of reported cases remains "normal" compared to previous years and the situation in the world.
The confirmation of the first death of the H1N1 virus on Monday caused some concern among the local population.
