The success of San Jose Mercury News today is dedicated to training Steve Wozniak seway Segway team for the final phase of the International Segway Polo Association Challenge Woz Cup next month.

As for Woz athletics, it's a little more elitist than his recent roller derby animation concert, it will take place in Barbados, from 10 to 13 June.

The Segway polo is not a very complicated sport – two teams of five players are each trying to break through the opponent's goal post – but that does not mean that Woz will not do anything to win, reports the newspaper:

Wozniak watched his dribbling shot a few feet from the goal, then stopped. Complaining that his wrist had slipped, he rotated his Segway and headed to the other end, where he tried to interrupt the shot of his wife, Janet Wozniak, by throwing his mallet to the balloon. He did so despite a decree in the Segway Polo Rules book written specifically to prevent it from doing so.

"As you can see," said his teammate George Clark in Silicon Valley's Silicon Valley Aftershocks area, "he will deceive even his wife."

"Only in Segway polo," says Woz.

His team at Silicon Valley Aftershocks is determined to take revenge for last year 's defeat in Cologne, Germany. We will keep you posted.
