Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly called James Rodriguez to convince him to join Juventus at the end of the season.

According to Marca, Ronaldo is trying to convince the Colombian international to settle in Turin and has reached out to talk to his former teammate.

Rodriguez is in his second season of borrowing from Real Madrid at Bayern Munich and is struggling to make a difference.

It is likely that he will definitely leave the Bernabeu this summer, Arsenal and Tottenham being tied to an attacker's move.

But it seems that Ronaldo could use his influence to organize a meeting with the 27-year-old player and add an extra weapon to the Juventus armory.

Ronaldo had previously stated in the press that Juventus "did not need any player" when asked for links with former Real Madrid team-mates.

But Marca thinks he thinks differently in private and thinks that Rodriguez could be a clever addition to Mbadimiliano Allegri.

Rodriguez himself would have decided not to return to Bayern Munich, although they have the option to buy it at the end of his loan.
