VANCOUVER, Washington (AP) – Public health officials have announced 49 confirmed cases of measles in the Pacific Northwest and seven suspected cases.
Authorities said on Sunday that 47 cases were in southwestern Washington State, one in Seattle and one in the Portland area, in Oregon.
In Clark County, Washington, 41 of the patients were not vaccinated against the highly infectious virus and the immunization history of five people was unclear.
A person received the first shot in a series of two shots, but not the second.
No new exhibition site has been identified in the update.
