Stanbic Ghana joins the Chinese community to celebrate this year's Spring Festival.

The festival that marks the beginning of the new year of the traditional Chinese calendar began in Ghana with a gala evening. The event was organized by the Chinese Embbady.

The guests included CEOs of Chinese companies operating in Ghana.

Inkoom said Stanbic Bank already offers Chinese customers mutually beneficial commercial products and services such as Mandarin Relationship Managers, Remimbi Accounts, Concession Tariffs and a partnership with China Industrial and Commercial Bank. Stanbic believes in strengthening the Africa-China corridor and has put in place a number of initiatives to achieve this. Last year, the I-Go Ghana Tourism Initiative was launched with the aim of attracting Chinese tourists to Ghana.

Customers from China can now use their standard Union Pay International card to make purchases at participating I-Go Ghana merchants.

China is the world's leading source market for tourism with 129 million trips in 2017 and Chinese tourists would boost the economy of all the countries they visit.

Ghana Relations with China continue to grow by leaps and bounds, with Ghanaian students being the largest number of African students studying in China.

Chinese influence in Ghana is visible in a number of important monuments such as the Ministry of Defense building, the Tamale National Theater and Sports Stadium.

China is Ghana's largest trading partner. Bilateral trade increased from $ 100 in 2000 to $ 6.7 billion in 2017.

"As Ghana is our home, we continue to drive growth. For this reason, we will work in partnership with the Chinese community to bring the people of Ghana and China closer together to unlock many opportunities.
