Parker, a 4 star, commits to Kansas

Among the 20 most notable players in the 2019 promotion, Parker has since turned to Nebraska and Kansas, though Texas Tech managed to bring him back to Lubbock a few days after reopening for an official visit. He made official stops in Nebraska (January 11) and Kansas (February 1) just before National Signing Day.

Texas Tech signed a contract with two defensive linemen in December, but has no plans as a true pbader and must give the Matt Wells team a legitimate threat. Even after Parker's withdrawal, he returned to Lubbock and continued to give the Red Raiders a high regard, largely because of his family ties to the region. However, not having access to the product in the state will compromise Tech's chances of building a formidable defense to hang on to in the Big 12.

Nebraska recruited four defensive linemen in December, including a trio of 4 stars, so the cabinet is not stripped after missing Parker. The addition of the Dallas area scorer would have been a luxury for the Huskers, while Scott Frost was trying to stand out in the Lone Star State and continue to create a dangerous pbad. The Huskers, however, should be fine.
