Tyrone Mings avoids punishment for Nelson Oliveira's "disgusting" shock

Tyrone Mings will not be punished by the Football Association (FA) following an incident with Nelson Oliveira that allegedly injured his face in the face, confirmed Reading.

Mings, on loan at Aston Villa in Bournemouth and making his debut for the championship club, landed on Oliveira's face with his studs in Saturday's 0-0 draw.

The Portuguese striker, who was bleeding profusely after the clashes, was taken to the hospital and his partner, Mel Oliveira, wrote on Instagram Monday that Mings was "to get a long ban."

However, Reading confirmed in a statement posted via social media that Mings would not be charged by the FA.

"As a club, we have ensured that the referee and the FA are fully aware of an incident that occurred during Saturday's match that would have injured our forward Nelson Oliveira," the club said. on Twitter.

"But as the incident was seen by the referee at the time, we understand that no retrospective action can or will be undertaken by the FA."

While he was playing for Bournemouth in March 2017, Mings received a five-match ban for violent conduct after a panel of the Football Association decided that he was deliberately standing on Zlatan's head Ibrahimovic in a 1-1 draw in the Premier League against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Mings apologized for the incident and pointed out that it was just an accident.
