This tutorial helps you determine your iPhone's ECID ID number, which makes it easy to retrieve the SHSH keys you need to demote your device.

Please backup your device with iTunes before following the procedure below.
1. Connect your device to a Mac and put it into recovery mode – Press and hold the home button and power button until the screen is completely empty, then immediately release the power button and hold down the home button until the device displays a message "connect to itunes" logo.
2. iTunes will now display a window indicating that the connected device is in recovery mode, click OK.
3. Go to the OSX menu bar, click on the "" menu and then "About this Mac".
4. Now click on the 'More Information …' button and select 'USB' in the 'Hardware' list in the sidebar.
5. Now select the "Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode)" from one of the "High Speed USB Bus" lists and copy the ECID of the serial number shown next to the serial number.
