Nine opposition political parties are preparing for a street protest on Thursday, February 7, 2019.
The Inter-Party Coalition for National Sovereignty, which includes the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Convention People's Party (CPP), the Ghana Consolidated People's Party (GCPP), the People's Democratic Party (DPP), the People's Party The National Convention (PNC), the United Front Party (UFP), the EGLE party and the People's Congress (APC) march in the streets because of the violence that has rocked the by-election last week in Ayawaso West Wuogon.
They hope to send a strong message to the government led by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) "about the barbaric and brutal violence that has characterized the" elections "as well as the climate of growing insecurity in the country".
The leader of the street demonstration nicknamed "Aagbe wrong Demonstration "- or" You kill us, protest "- Bernard Monah, said in a press release that opposition parties were hoping to draw public attention to the" threat " [Ghana’s] democracy, peace and stability. "
The parties are also calling for appropriate and timely investigations into the events of the by-election last Thursday.

The focal point of the demonstration is the Old Obra Spot, circle of Kwame Nkrumah, at 6 o'clock in the morning.

The men, dressed in black polo shirts and khaki pants, stormed the polling station at La Bawaleshie Elementary School where voting was underway to elect a new MP following the death of Kyeremanteng Agyarko.
The violence has been largely condemned.
