Former RPQ midfielder Matthew Brazier died of cancer at age 42.

The midfielder went through the R Academy and represented the club in the Premier League and the championship between 1995 and 1998.

Matthew played for the R between 1995-1998.

Brazier also played for Fulham, Cardiff City and Leyton Orient before retiring in 2004.

The midfielder played 11 Premier League matches in the 1996/96 season, with QPR finishing 19th.

The club is saddened to learn of the death of Matthew Brazier at the age of 42.

QPR will maintain a minute of silence before the FA Cup clash against Portsmouth on Tuesday night.
