As a deceased resident of Cult of Mac, I've always been a little disappointed with Pop Cap. Plants against Zombies for iPhone and iPod Touch ($ 2.99). This is an excellent game, but limited compared to Mac and iPad versions.
Good news though! Pop Cap just updated Plants against Zombies and not only does it get some of the features that it previously lacked on its sister ports, but it even gets a feature that Plants vs. Zombies HD did not … at least for the moment.
Here's what's new in version 1.6 of the application:
Zen Garden – Collect and develop your own collection of plants. Water them every day and they will reward you with an abundance of coins to spend in Crazy Dave's shop.
You can also have the mushroom and the underwater garden!
Minigames – The Crazy Dave store is expanding and will offer brand new mini-games. Do you want to start with Zombiquarium or Zombotany? How about Raining Seeds?Achievements – Oh, you know that with the new content come new achievements to unlock. Of course, these new achievements are related to Game Center so you can show them to your friends.
Even better, Pop Cap announces that the Retina Display update will be available soon.
It's great to see the Zen Garden appear on the iPhone and the iPod Touch: this is one of the features that I miss most about iOS versions, and I hope they'll bring it to the world soon. iPad 2.
