Uber and Lyft could eventually move to Halifax, Nova Scotia, according to a report from municipal staff.
"It is inevitable that the combination of trips will occur in the region as in all major destinations in Canada," says the report, according to a report dated February 5. The Chronicle Herald article.

According to the survey, 88% of citizens wanted services like Uber and Lyft, and nearly 73% of them said they wanted safer travel options.
On the basis of this report, the municipality will work with Halifax Transit to recommend the necessary regulatory changes to allow the rental of relays in the area.
Uber Canada launched its services in Saskatchewan on February 5th. At the same time, British Columbia has announced a bill to allow rideshare companies to operate later this year.
