DC Extended Universe could change drastically with the release and success of Margot Robbie's upcoming film on Harley Quinn, Birds of Prey (and the fantastic emancipation of Harley Quinn). Warner Bros. and DC Films finally found the right project to bring Harley Quinn back from Robbie after it turned out to be the best part of Suicide team. Once again, she will be part of a team, but this time it will involve badociating with Huntress and Black Canary instead of Task Force X.

Matt Reeves is reshaping the character for a younger track instead of bringing back Ben Affleck, and Birds of prey teases that Batman is no longer active in Gotham. This could allow Harley and the Birds of Prey to become the new protectors of the city. In addition, shots from the shoot indicated that Harley had left Jared Leto's Joker behind him, which could spell the end of his portrait.
