Napoli captain Marek Hamsik is the club record holder
The move proposed by Marek Hamsik midfielder in an unidentified Chinese club was "suspended".
Napoli's boss, Carlo Ancelotti, had said the 31-year-old was "under discussion" about a move, but the club's Twitter account now indicates that the previously agreed financial conditions have not been met.
Hamsik, who played in the 3-0 win against Sampdoria on Saturday, joined Napoli from Brescia in 2007.
With 121 goals, he became the top scorer in his history.
