A The body was found among the wreckage of the plane that crashed aboard footballer Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson, said the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB).
The body recovery mission, which has not yet been identified, began Tuesday night, more than two weeks after the crash in the English Channel.
However, due to poor weather conditions, the wreckage of the aircraft was not found and the operation was fenced off.
In a statement, the AAIB said: "After a thorough visual examination of the accident site using the remote-controlled vehicle (ROV), it was decided to attempt a salvage operation.
"Under difficult conditions, the AAIB and its specialized subcontractors managed to recover the body previously found in the middle of the wreckage." The operation was conducted in the most dignified manner possible and families were informed of the progress of the work. "
