The Ghana Division 1 World Championships, Great Olympics, confirmed the signing of Bernard Don Bortey and Roger Sackey.

The experienced winger has signed a two-year contract with the Dade Boys in anticipation of the next special competition of the Standards Committee.

The 35-year-old, who had a trophy season at Hearts of Oak in the early 2000s, is a free agent since he left Samartex FC, a second-ranked player three seasons ago.

The dead-ball specialist, however, tried to revive his career with the Rainbow Club before last season, but this decision was a problem after club coach Frank Nuttal vetoed the deal.

Meanwhile, Bortey was not the only player to join the blue and white guys when the club announced the capture of Roger Sackey.

A statement issued by the club's communications officer, Saint Osei, reads:

Ace Ghana striker, Bernard Don Bortey, signs a two-year contract with the Great Olympics of Accra.

Roger Sackey, son of Ghana's ex-international Emmanuel Sackey, also joined the club.

"We signed Don Bortey & Roger because they are professional players who have just come back from overseas to put their rich experiences to the service of a relatively young team.

"The duo's signature is based on the Olympics' football philosophy, combining the experiences of young pbadionate people to do wonders on the pitch."
