The body found in the middle of the debris of a plane that crashed was found on the seabed.
The families of Emiliano Sala and David Ibbotson have been informed.
The salvage ship began returning to the UK last night and will deliver the body to the Dorset coroner for identification.
The GEO Ocean III was located above the wreckage of the Piper PA-46 Malibu aircraft.
The Air Accident Investigation Branch stated that the recovery was "as dignified as possible".
Under difficult conditions, the AAIB and its specialized subcontractors managed to recover the body previously found in the middle of the wreckage. The operation was carried out with the utmost dignity and the families were informed of the progress.

Due to deteriorating weather conditions, attempts to recover from the wreckage of the aircraft were unsuccessful and the AAIB decided not to proceed.
The organization said the video recordings, collected from his underwater robot, would provide "valuable evidence" for his investigation.
Unfortunately, attempts to salvage the wreckage of the aircraft failed before bad weather forced us to return the ROV to the ship. As weather forecasts are poor in the near future, the difficult decision to end all operations has been taken. The body is being transferred to Portland to be badigned to the Dorset coroner.
Although it was not possible to recover the aircraft, the detailed video capture captured by the ROV should provide valuable evidence for our security investigation.
We expect our next update to be an interim report that we plan to release within one month after the accident.
