This is the moment you've all been waiting for – the first preview of a 2019 Formula 1 livery, with Haas revealing his new look for the upcoming season. And, as expected, the US team has decided to change the game this year by bringing back the theme of black and gold to F1 …
They unveiled the new look – the first black and gold color scheme since the Lotus 2015 challenger – at a launch event at the Royal Automobile Club in London on Thursday with 2019 drivers Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen.
Haas chose a combination of red, gray and black in their first three seasons in F1, but for the new campaign, the team's livery will incorporate the black and gold colors of their new energy drink partner Rich Energy.
Guenther Steiner, Team Manager Haas, said, "It's important to keep progressing as a team, and this season is no different. Our partnership with Rich Energy is another positive example of the future as an organization.
"We are delighted to see their colors on the VF-19, and we welcome them when they join our valuable group of partners who use Formula 1 as a global marketing platform, while 2018 has delivered our best season ever. this day, the year has clearly, that we still have areas to improve as a team.
"On the right track, our quest for performance started early with the VF-19, our next step is to travel to Spain and use our time wisely to prepare for Australia."
The US team, formed in 2016, hopes to experience a season of success in its new colors, after progressing last season.
After making his F1 debut with two eights in the constructors' championship, Haas strengthened his game last season and established himself as the fourth best team in the world.
A series of errors meant that they had not managed to convert this advantage, but they still finished fifth – an improvement of three places.
