* First discovery in Qatar Petroleum's international exploration projects
Qatar Petroleum and its partners, led by Total, announced a significant condensate discovery in the Brulpadda deposits, located in Block 11B / 12B of the Outeniqua Basin, 175 km from the South coast of South Africa.
The Brulpadda well encountered a gaseous condensate deposit in the lower Cretaceous reservoirs. Following the success of the main goal, the well was deepened to a final depth of 3,633 meters and was also a success in the Brulpadda-deep perspective.
On this occasion, the Minister of Energy Affairs, Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, also President and CEO of Qatar Petroleum, said: "We are pleased to announce that the discovery of Brulpadda is the first discovery in the projects of international exploration of Qatar Petroleum. This accomplishment is an important step that reflects the strength of our strategy, in which international exploration is an important pillar that will allow Qatar Petroleum to grow and expand our international footprint. "

This discovery opened a new theater in South Africa where Qatar Petroleum and its partners are well positioned to test other perspectives on the same block.
Block 11B / 12B covers an area of 19,000 square kilometers and a water depth of 200 to 1,800 meters.
It is operated by Total with a 45% working interest, alongside Qatar Petroleum (25%), CNR International (20%) and Main Street (10%).
