Senior Molde officials will join Ed Woodward, executive vice president of Manchester United, in the management position at Old Trafford for the club's UEFA Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night.
United's acting director, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is on loan from the Norwegian club until the end of the season but has made an outstanding and undefeated start to Old Trafford – winning nine of his 10 games.
Solskjaer is now in the account for full time work, with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Manchester United will invite Molde leaders to watch Ole Gunnar Solskjaer fight against PSG
American striker Jesse Lingard suggested that Solskjaer had the support of the players.
Lingard said Sportsmail: Solskjaer and his badistant Mike Phelan brought back the former Manchester United school. Nobody can blame him. He was immediately supported by the players. "
Solskjaer will be encouraged against the PSG by a party of more than 100 executives, staff members and Molde supporters traveling from the Norwegian region.
Despite a lead over Ligue 1, PSG is without Neymar and recently lost to Lyon
Woodward secured Solskjaer's services through two phone calls to Molde executives the day after United's dismissal of Jose Mourinho.
But this is the first time that officials of both clubs meet.
The visit was evoked as a gesture of goodwill when United signed a loan agreement in Solskjaer for the remainder of the season, with the match against PSG or the next Premier League home game against Liverpool being designated as a link potentially prestigious.
Last month, Molde chief executive Oystein Neerland told Sportsmail that there was no deal beyond 12 May for Solskjaer to stay at United.
The Norwegian made an exceptional start to United, winning nine of his 10 games
He added that the Norwegian club does not have a "plan B" in place to cover the eventuality that United ends up poaching his coach.
However, it is common knowledge that things could go wrong and it is thought that Molde would not stand in the way of Solskjaer's dream of running his old, beloved club full-time.
