Sbaduolo coach Roberto De Zerbi revealed that he had played a major role in Kevin-Prince Boateng's move to Barcelona.
Boateng joined Barcelona as part of a shock loan move from the Italian side Sbaduolo during the transfer in January.
The Ghanaian had been an influential figure at Mapei stadium where he had scored 4 goals in 13 Serie A matches.
It was feared that his departure would leave an opening in the team Neroverdi, a part of his fans considering the sale of Ghanaian.
But coach De Zerbi revealed that he had organized the sale of AC Milan's former aces to Blaugrana although his departure hurt his men.
"We have a close relationship. With me, he tells his story through football. He is a particular boy with an immense heart. I did not try to force him to stay. I knew that he wanted to join Barcelona and even though his departure got worse, I helped him change the team.
Boateng has warmed the bench four times in all competitions since his debut against Sevilla in Copa Del Rey last month.
