A pet trailer teases the murderer in a terrifying glimpse

Sometimes death is better.

This is the slogan of the upcoming horror film Pet Sematary, which had a scary new trailer on Thursday.

The adaptation of Stephen King stars Jason Clarke, John Lithgow and Amy Smeitz. It's a graveyard that has the ability to resuscitate anything, or whoever, buried there.

However, the latest trailer of the film badumes that anyone who comes out of the grave does not necessarily return the same way.

The preview begins with Louis Creed, his wife, and children Ellie and Gage, recently relocated, exploring the woods around their new home and discovering a "Pet Semarium".

Dr. Louis (played by Australian actor Jason Clarke) explains to his daughter Ellie that the cemetery is a "burial place for our pets and their remembrance".

"I know it sounds scary, but that's not the case," he says quietly.

The rest of the trailer presents many disturbing images that reinforce the factor of fear, including a child armed with a knife, a hand emerging from a grave and Ellie's body writhing when his bones protrude from his shoulder blades and his back.

Jud warns a Louis increasingly distraught that "sometimes it's better, it's dead," before the old man gets cut off the Achilles heel by a razor blade.

You'd better get an idea: the rest of the trailer contains many disturbing images that accentuate the fear factor, including a child armed with a knife, a hand emerging from a grave and the Ellie's body writhing when her bones protrude from her shoulder blades and her back.
